Chatting with Laura & Benny
As a wedding celebrant in Cork (and beyound), I have the pleasure of meeting and working with many photographers and videographers as they capture couples wedding ceremonies. And the pleasure none so more than with Laura and Benny Photography, wedding photographers based in Cobh, Cork. So when Laura and Benny, asked me to be the first guest for their 2024 podcast season I was thrilled.

In the conversation with Laura and Benny in their very natural approach, we got to explain what a Registered Solemniser is and had an open discussion the various types of wedding ceremonies available. Always good humoured we even got to cracking jokes about “love” ceremonies/marriages - have a listen!
My biggest goal on the day of your ceremony is to keep my couples calm and relaxed so that they can fully enjoy their ceremony. Laura and Benny Photography have a very similar approach making them the perfect compliment to the ceremonies I perform. The good nature and humour in the podcast is very similar to their vibe on the day. Always calm, always positive and absolutely great craic!
You may not know; Laura and Benny also offer videography via their partner company Weddimony Films. I recently had the pleasure of working with the whole team and I can attest to their professionalism. With them, you completely forget that Video and Photography is being captured, even in the smallest of ceremony spaces. In the Podcast, myself and Benny mention how working together for what seems as simple or minor moments during your ceremony really helps the experience run smoothly so you don’t even know it’s happening.

The help does not end there, on the day and in those moments I will guide you, you family and guests through the ceremony. Making everyone feel at ease.
That brings to mind an outdoor ceremony I officiated that wedding Laura and Benny photographed. A family wedding, with lots of kids mischief. Not a problem! Let things flow, I point people in the right direction when needed, with steeling or stopping a magical moment from happening. And Laura and Benny are so discrete and on it that they will snap the instant, for you to remember forever.

The long form conversation gave me the chance to outline Entheos’ origins and philosophy. It was great to have an open discussion with Laura and Benny, and to receive the positive feedback that Entheos is making the impact that the organisation sets out to achieve.
We also got into the big moments from vows to the various elements of a wedding ceremony. Some fun memories are recalled and moments that might inspire future couples.
